CMRCET to set up skill development centre for engineering students
The centre aims to upskill the core concepts of engineering students in the latest emerging areas such as electric hybrid vehicles (EHV), drone design, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, mechatronics, industrial automation and CAD design.
As per a report published in Telangana Today, CMR College of Engineering and Technology (CMRCET) and Skyy Rider Institutions have signed an agreement to establish a state-of-the-art skill development centre on the CMR campus in Hyderabad.
The centre aims at upskilling the core concepts of engineering students in the latest emerging areas such as electric hybrid vehicles (EHV), drone design, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, mechatronics, industrial automation, manufacturing, CAD design, data science, machine learning and Python, Java and other advanced skill sectors.
Skill internship programmes
Both institutions will offer short-term and long-term courses in various fields of engineering and create job opportunities for students in the city.
The courses will be of two types – short-term skill internship programmes of two weeks to three months duration and long-term training programmes with duration from four months to 12 months skill internship for final-year students and graduates.
Free workshops
The skill development centre also provides courses to students from different colleges. The centre will train students and also create job opportunities for all participants in the coming years. The centre will host several free workshops to help students learn and become certified in various skills.
