In a letter, Bandipora Deputy Commissioner Owais Ahmad urged people to follow COVID-19 protocol and fight against the spread of the deadly virus. He further added that violation of any protocol against COVID-19 spread will not be tolerated by the administration.
Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir sealed several coaching centres in the Bandipora district for allegedly flouting COVID-19 norms. Coaching centres in town were inspected after the conduct of a joint team of officers led by tehsildar Bandipora Sheikh Tariq in order to check the status of the implementation of Covid appropriate behaviour.
According to reports, coaching centres that were operating in violation of government orders were sealed. The team comprising officers of education and health departments took charge of the situation. Amid the rising number of the novel coronavirus, Jammu and Kashmir has banned in-person teaching until further orders considering the safety and health of children.

He further added that violation of any protocol against COVID-19 spread will not be tolerated by the administration.
Meanwhile, the administration’s decision to close coaching centres has been condemned by the Coaching Centres Association of Kashmir (CCAK). It said whenever there is even a slight increase in COVID cases, the education sector becomes the first casualty. CCAK added that after closing down schools and education institutes for years, the government has now closed down the only functional classes which were working hard to compensate for the loss of academics to these students.
Talking about the academic loss that students are facing, CCAK stated that students are paying a heavy price for the current situation.
