The student cell work will remain suspended in wake of the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Manthan Programme scheduled to be held on April 4 and April 5, 2022.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has informed all the students that the work of marksheet/ degree and transcript will remain suspended on April 4, 2022 and April 5. The student cell work will remain suspended in wake of the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) Manthan Programme on the said dates.
AKTU has been working on applying for evaluation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The university had also collected data or self-study report (SSR) from all its departments earlier. The data is being analysed by experts of its internal quality assurance cell.
AKTU spokesperson Asheesh Mishra had earlier told TOI that “Our team is scrutinizing the SSR submitted by departments. After scrutiny, the departmental reports will be sent back if there are any suggestions, corrections or addition of data required. This will take a month or so.”
The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is a government organization in India that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission and headquartered in Bangalore.
Mishra had earlier said that once the varsity is ready with the final SSR, it will fill up the institutional quality assurance form in April. Once filled, the notification/approval to upload SSR is received within a month by the council.
Once uploaded, NAAC evaluates the institute’s report, posts queries or seeks information, and thereafter, the NAAC team makes a visit. It is expected that by July or so, the NAAC evaluation will be completed, he had said.
