A group of students from Aliah University held a protest today at Park Circus Campus demanding an online examination. Aliah University has recently announced that it will hold the examinations in offline mode. However, students are not happy with the decision and held a protest demanding that either the exam is conducted online or they will boycott the exam.
The protesting students said, "Temperatures are soaring & there's scorching heat, we'll boycott exams if they aren't conducted online." Other Universities are conducting the examination in online mode, why not Aliah University, they questioned.
Earlier, the students of Rabindranath Tagore University also held a protest against the varsity's decision to conduct the exam in offline mode. However, the Vice-Chancellor announced that the examinations for both undergraduate and postgraduate examination will be conducted as per the schedule in offline mode. Students protested in front of the Vice-Chancellor's house at Rabindranath Tagore University.
Students claimed that the notification of the examination was released on May 16 and in such short span of time it is nearly impossible for them to appear for the exam.
Meanwhile, Aliah University has also begun the admission process for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. The Aliah University conducts the entrance test for admission to various UG and PG Programs offered by the varsity in various streams of professional studies. Aliah University Admissions 2022 application process for UG courses began on May 15 and will continue until June 5, 2022. For PG courses, the application process began on May 15 and candidates can apply on or before June 10, 2022.
