Ambedkar University Admissions 2022: AUD witnesses nine-fold increase in application

AUD is one of the 12 state government-run universities that have opted for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 this year for undergraduate admissions. CUET 2022 Application form submission closed on May 22.

Ambedkar University Admissions 2022: Ambedkar University this year recorded nine times more applications as compared to last year, the University authorities informed. AUD is one of the 12 state government-run universities that have opted for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 this year for undergraduate admissions. CUET 2022 Application form submission closed on May 22. CUET 2022 application correction window opened on May 25 and will close today; i.e. May 31, 2022. 

As per the AUD officials, they have received 3,03,413 registrations for which payments have been made on the National Testing Agency portal (NTA). This is a huge rise as compared to the registrations received last year when students had to go to individual university's website to apply. Last year, the varsity received 32,000 paid registration. 

While speaking on the same, Vice-Chancellor Anu Lather said opting for the CUET 2022 has likely increased the national visibility of the university leading to the huge jump in registrations.

“It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for us as a university. We have taken the right decision to subscribe to CUET. The participation in CUET has increased the visibility of the university at the national level,” she said.

As per the registration data of all the central universities, as of May 19, the varsity had received the sixth-highest number of paid registrations at the time, only behind large central universities such as Delhi University (DU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Allahabad University, and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and the private IIMT University in Meerut.
