DU Admission 2020: Applications to release early this year

The University of Delhi has decided to release the DU Admission 2020 form early this year to allow more time to the students.

The Delhi University has decided to make the admission session more “student-friendly” and for that, it will be releasing the DU Admission 2020 forms in advance this year. Confirming the same, Dean of the admissions at the University, Pankaj Arora said that the application forms will be released in the first week of April.

Last year, the varsity had delayed the release of application form by over a month and had to face scrutiny for the same. The admission for the session last year commenced on May 31, while it opened on May 15 for the 2018-19 session.

The secretary also said that the varsity is working towards making the 2020 admission process “hassle-free, objective, more transparent and convenient for both the parents and the students.”

Last month, the University had invited suggestions to streamline the admission process in order to make it more rigorous and student-friendly to strengthen the whole process. For the same, it had also published an online form on its official website. The sections for the suggestions ranged from rationalising cut-offs to control over the admission across colleges.

Pankaj also said that the University is trying for a single-form admission, which is not yet finalized. “Every college has its own parameters, there are forms for applying for reservation, etc. If we have a single form, it sure would be a lot easier for students, but we are yet to devise a solution,” he added.
