Delhi University's College of Vocational Studies, Professor Inderjeet Singh Dagar, has been sent on leave in wake of allegations of corruption against him. He has been sent on leave to enable an inquiry to be conducted against him in a fair manner.
For several years, college teachers, members of Delhi University's Academic Council have alleged corruption by DU College of Vocational Students Principal. According to a letter sent by the University to the chairman of the college’s Governing Body, an inquiry will be conducted against the principal and this has been done to ensure that it is conducted in all fairness. The senior-most professor at the college, Anjana Arora Bhatnagar of the department of economics, will be officiating principal.
The letter further added that “Ramesh Kumar Tiwari, the semi-professional assistant may be sent on leave instead of being suspended as recommended in the report of the inquiry committee. You are directed not to attend or enter your/this office or to have access to any records/files, documents, etc. without express written permission of the undersigned,” it said.

Academic Council member Naveen Gaur, who has persistently pursued the matter with DU, told TOI, “This is a welcome decision of the DU administration indicating an intent to act against wrongdoings. I raised the issue of corruption in CVS in the Academic Council meetings in August and December last year."
