IBAB Bengaluru invites applications for MSc in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics

Interested candidates must note that the last date to submit the applications is May 3, 2021, through the ‘Apply Online’ link available at www.ibab.ac.in.

Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), established by the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka; BioTech Park, Electronic City, Phase-1, Bengaluru-560100, invites admission application for MSc in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. Interested candidates must note that the last date to submit the applications is May 3, 2021, through the ‘Apply Online’ link available at www.ibab.ac.in. The application will be considered valid only after the payment of the requisite application fee of Rs.600/-.

The shortlisting of the candidates will be based on an entrance examination scheduled to be held on May 16, 2021. This will either be through a proctored online examination or conducted at designated centres. The test will include general aptitude questions and will cover the subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and the Life sciences.

After the shortlisting of the candidates, interviews will be conducted either in person at IBAB, or through a proctored online mode. Candidates will be intimated in due course about the date and mode of interview. Dates of the Personal Interview will be announced later. The institute will commence the course on July 19, 2021.

Applicants must note that candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Science / Technology / Medicine (with degrees such as BSc, BE, BTech, BPharm, MBBS, BDS and BVSc) with 50% in the Bachelor’s programme are eligible to apply for the course. There is no age bar for applying. Applicants who have had a break in their education or have been working for a few years are also eligible. Those appearing for the Final Examination / Awaiting results are eligible to apply.
