IGNOU launches new programme - MSc (Geography)

IGNOU has introduced a new programme MSc (Geography) (MSCGG). The new course will be offered through ODL mode from July 2023 session.

The eligibility requirement is graduation in any stream. The duration of the course is a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 4 years. The course fee is INR 14000 per annum. The total number of credits is 80. The expected student intake is 2500.

"Learner can opt for any one course from the given electives in the fourth semester, as per their choice keeping in mind the area of specialisation either from Physical or Human Geography, which may later facilitate the learners to choose their research endeavour accordingly. More electives will be added in the future," said IGNOU about MSc (Geography).

Admissions are also open in the new programme MA Sanskrit (Online). The last date to apply for July 2023 session is June 30, 2023.

"We are happy to inform you that, with the approval of the Competent Authority, the July 2023 Fresh-Admission Cycle for all programmes has commenced from 15/05/2023. The last date of Fresh Admissions for the July 2023 Session is 30 June 2023," says a tweet by IGNOU RC-Chennai.

"Eligible students can apply for Government of India Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in/ after confirmation of admission," reads the official statement of IGNOU. 

Dr U. N. Tripathi, RD & officials of Regional Centre Varanasi visited 07 Naval National Cadet Corps (NCC) at Varanasi and addressed the cadets of C-Level NCC certificate course and made them aware about higher education opportunities being provided by IGNOU.
