IISER Kolkata begins PhD admissions 2022; Application window closes on May 1

IISER Kolkata Admissions 2022: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata, has commenced the admission applications for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program for the Autumn Semester 2022.

IISER Kolkata offers PhD programs in the departments of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Computational and Data Sciences, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physical Sciences and Space Sciences. Detailed eligibility conditions for admission to each Department are given at https://apply.iiserkol.ac.in/phd/

Interested candidates must note that the last date to apply is May 1, 2022. Eligible applicants of the PhD programme are encouraged to apply for the attractive Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (https://pmrf.in/) in addition to applying to IISER Kolkata regular admission.

IISER Bhopal Summer Camp 2022

IISER Bhopal is all set to conduct a short summer camp at the Bhauri campus in Bhopal. The institute is organizing the summer camp with an aim to enable the participants to understand the central role of science in society. During IISER Bhopal Summer Camp participants will be introduced to fascinating topics in natural and engineering sciences through lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises. This exposure will be supplemented with critical perspectives from Humanities and Social Sciences. Additionally, the summer camp will be conducting fun activities through which the participants can interact with the senior students. IISER Bhopal to conduct summer camp from May 16 to May 20, 2022. Students studying in Classes 9, 10, 11 as of May 2022 will be participating in the summer camp.

The institute has kept limited seats to facilitate homogeneous interaction between the students and faculty members. After initial screening, the selected candidates has to pay a registration fee of INR 2000/- through the SBI iCollect. Students must note that the registration fee will include food and lodging expenses for the participants. In order to ensure the personal health and well-being of all the participants, a doctor will be made available on campus (24 hours).
