JNTU students can now pursue BBA, BTech simultaneously

The BBA-Data Analytics course will be taught online for five days in a week while Offline classes will be held for one day every week.  

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) has introduced dual degree course to facilitate students to do BTech along with BBA. The university will soon issue a circular regading admission to the BBA (Data Analytics) course.  

As per a report published in Deccan Chronicle, the university officials said as several companies prefer inducting youth with additional skills for IT jobs and others, students will have better job opportunities if they can complete both engineering and administration courses simultaneously.  

In April this year, the University Grants Commission (UGC) allowed students to pursue two full-time academic programmes in the same time frame given that class timing for both programmes do not clash with each other. JNTU Vice-Chancellor Prof Katta Narasimha Reddy held discussion with the faculty members and introduced the dual degree course from this academic year itself.  The BBA-Data Analytics course will be taught online for five days in a week. Offline classes will be held for one day every week. All students pursuing various courses in colleges and other institutions affiliated to JNTU can join in the BBA course. 

Who can apply for BBA-Data Analytics course at JNTU? 

Students pursuing first, second and third year BTech can apply for the BBA course. Those in the first and second year BTech course can complete BBA (Data Analytics) even before the completion of the engineering course. Students studying in third year BTech should invest one year more to complete the BBA course, after they get the BTech degree.
