Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) decided to reach out to its alumni through ‘JNU Global Alumni Connect’ to share their expertise on various relevant topics such as the present COVID-19 crises.
In the midst of the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic outbreak followed by the subsequent nationwide lockdown, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) decided to reach out to its alumni through ‘JNU Global Alumni Connect’ to share their expertise on various relevant topics such as the present COVID-19 crises.
According to the reports, The Vice-Chancellor of JNU, Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar shared about the first discussion of the Web series in which the two commendable speakers: Professor Balram Singh and Professor Gobardhan Das will be conducting the discussion and deliver their lecture titled “Extracting Cream out of Corona Crisis: Positioning the India of Future” and “Covid-19: India’s Challenge and Responses” respectively. The Webinar will be held on May 7, 2020, at 4 pm.
The founder of the Indic Center at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, MA, Professor Balram Singh is currently the Director of Institute of Advanced Sciences, Dartmouth, USA. However, Professor Gobardhan Das is a Professor at the Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, JNU. The Professor is also a well-known scientist in the area of immunology.
Meanwhile, JNU’s Office of Alumni Affairs aims to connect its current students and its alumni with the help of the Office of Alumni Affairs (AAO).
Talking about the future plans, the Chairperson of AAO AAO-JNU, Professor Ravikesh, shared the vision of his Office to reach out to the Alumni who have been contributing to the society in every nook and corner of the world. They also plan to invite them for sharing their experience with the JNU community.
