Mangalore University Semester Examinations 2023: Mangalore University students have demanded to postpone the semester examination and conduct it only when reevaluation, retotalling, and personal inspection of the first semester (NEP syllabus) examination papers.

Mangalore University Exams for the odd semesters will begin on Monday. The MU in an official notification stated that the last date to apply for reevaluation through UUCMS is February 10. It must be approved within three days by the respective college principals. Personal seeing, retotalling and issuing duplicate answer scripts are scheduled for three days starting from February 20.

“Students who failed in the first semester (NEP syllabus) have applied for reexamination. It would be ideal if the exam was held after the reevaluation process,” said a principal of a government first-grade college.

Meanwhile, a professor at a private college pointed out that "the majority of students who applied for re-exams had failed by a margin of one or two marks. There is a high chance that some of them will pass after reevaluation. If the examination is not postponed and a candidate passes the subjects after revaluation, he/she will be writing the same examination again for no reason."

"Reexamination of subject papers is scheduled before reevaluation dates," a professor said. Meanwhile, all those students who will be appearing for the reexamination and those who have applied for reevaluation said that the entire process would have been smooth if the reevaluation process had been completed a few weeks ago.
