Amid the cancellation of CBSE 12th exams 2021, GSEB 12th exams, along with other state boards due to the ongoing pandemic situation, VNSGU has come up with this alternative to continue the admission process for prospective students until their Class 12 marksheet is delivered to them.
VNSGU Admissions 2021: Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) is mulling to commence the admission process for various undergraduate courses based on Class 10 marksheets. Amid the cancellation of CBSE 12th exams 2021, GSEB 12th exams, along with other state boards due to the ongoing pandemic situation, VNSGU has come up with this alternative to continue the admission process for prospective students until their Class 12 marksheet is delivered to them.
The decision to save time was taken at the syndicate meeting on June 16. Students interested in VNSGU Admissions 2021 must note that by the end of June, the varsity plans to start admissions. Talking about the admission application process, VNSGU, vice-chancellor, Dr K N Chavda said, “The dates are not finalized yet. We will start the process to create enrolment ID by asking students to apply based on their Class 10 marksheet. This will save over a week’s time.”
Reports suggest that the University also decided to restart the centralized admission process this year. The process was discontinued for the past couple of years in favour of decentralised admissions. It was also decided to increase the number of seats in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Considering the government’s decision regarding mass promotion in Class 12, the university has increased 8,188 seats. “Admission on 80,282 seats will be offered to students this year. We have increased seats in grant-in-aid and self-finance institutes to accommodate the majority of students,” Chavda added. University had allotted 72,094 seats for admission to colleges for UG and PG courses in 2020.
