Earlier, VNSGU decided to fail the students who couldn’t appear for the exam being held by the varsity amid COVID-19 pandemic.
VNSGU Re-Exam 2020: The Veer Narmad South Gujarat University decided to hold a re-exam for students who couldn’t appear for the annual exams held earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to reports, the varsity plans to facilitate re-exam for such students in near future at any exam centre located near them. According to the media reports, over 400 VNSGU students were unable to appear for the semester exam held recently due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Earlier, VNSGU decided to fail the students who couldn’t appear for the exam being held by the varsity amid COVID-19 pandemic. However, following concerns raised by students and other stakeholders, the university decided to give a second chance to the students through re-exam option.
Students who are yet to appear for the exam must note that they need to clear or pass in the re-exam being held now in order to be promoted to the next semester. Students unable to appear for the re-exam as well will be failed and retained in their current semester. The official announcement made by the University states that it will hold the re-exam for students who failed earlier after November 23, 2020. In order to facilitate easy access to exam centres, the university plans to allow students to appear for the re-exam at the nearest examination centre located in urban or rural centres.
In order to prevent the COVID-19 spread, the university plans to strictly enforce all the necessary COVID-19 precautions and SOPs to ensure the safety of the students during the re-exam. Meanwhile, the University is also working out on a spaced seating arrangement as part of social distancing norms. Moreover, wearing face masks and following proper hand hygiene and respiratory hygiene is mandatory while students are at the exam centre.
