CUCET 2022 to be held in June-July: Report

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had earlier announced that it will conduct the CUCET Exam 2022 in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu among others.

CUCET 2022: The first Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) for admissions to 42 central universities across the country including Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Visva Bharati University will be held in 13 languages between June and July. 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had earlier announced that it will conduct the CUCET Exam 2022 in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu among others. The Ministry of Education will release the notification regarding the conduct of the CUCET exam by next week, as per reports. NTA will also announce the exam dates and registration details along with it. 

The CUCET Exam 2022 will be conducted on the basis of the existing syllabus of Class 12 in various boards, the report stated.

“The dates and details are likely to be announced by the end of next week. The expert committee of the University Grants Commission is finalising the details and the ministry is also coordinating with all the 42 central universities,” a senior official said, as reported by TOI.

It must be noted that CUCET exam will be conducted in a computer-based format and will contain two sections - common aptitude test and domain-specific test, the report added.

Earlier, the Delhi University had announced that it has a four-member panel to look into the processes related to the admission for the 2022-23 academic session through CUCET. On December 17, the Delhi University Executive Council (EC) had given nod to holding CUCET for admissions to its various undergraduate programmes from the 2022 academic year onwards.
