Delhi government conducts mega PTM across BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence

Earlier, on Ambedkar Jayanti, Delhi Chief Minister announced all Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) in Delhi will be named after Dr B R Ambedkar while paying tribute to him.

The government of Delhi conducted mega parent-teacher meetings (PTM) across various BR Ambedkar Schools of Specialized Excellence (SoSE). The focus behind conducting the PTM was to understand the educational and emotional needs of students in the post-COVID era. This is the first time, the Delhi government schools conducted PTM at the Schools of Specialized Excellence. Earlier, on Ambedkar Jayanti, Delhi Chief Minister announced all Schools of Specialised Excellence (SoSE) in Delhi will be named after Dr B R Ambedkar while paying tribute to him.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia shared glimpses of the mega PTM conducted at various SoSEs through his official Twitter handle. The minister tweeted, “At the Mega PTM of BR Ambedkar SoSE, Rohini Sec-11, it was a pleasure to see the project exhibition of 21st Century Skills of the children and to meet their parents. We are proud that our teachers are teaching children not to memorize books, but to use concepts together. This is the real education revolution.”

Another tweet by the minister reads, “Facilitating dialogue between parent and teacher is essential in the interest of all-round development of the students. For this purpose, Mega PTM was organized at BR Ambedkar SoSE Rohini Sec-17 today. Government, family, and teachers should work together for the progress of children, only then their future will be strong.”

“In the Mega PTM organized by BR Ambedkar Visual & Performing Arts SoSE, Rohini Sec-21, children got a chance to listen to beautiful music and have a detailed discussion with their parents. The growing confidence of our children, and the growing trust of parents, only reflects the success of our education model!” Sisodia said in another tweet.

“BR Ambedkar discussed with teachers and parents in STEM SoSE, Mega PTM of Rohini Sec-23. The heart was filled with joy to see the enthusiasm of the children in the school, and the satisfaction of the parents. The Delhi government considers it its duty to promote the talent of future scientists, doctors and engineers.” Sisodia added.
