Schools of Specialized Excellence have been introduced by the Delhi government as choice-based schools for Classes 9 to 12 that allow students to specialize in their chosen fields of study.
Delhi SoSE Admissions 2022: The last date to apply for the Delhi schools of specialised excellence (SoSEs) admission process 2022-23 is March 6, 2022. According to the information released by Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia, so far, the Department of Education (DoE) has received more than 55,000 applications. Candidates who want to take admission in Delhi SOSE for the 2022-23 academic year are required to register themselves on the official website - edudel.nic.in.
DoE commenced the Delhi SoSEs admission process 2022 on February 11. "The online application process is open from Thursday and the aptitude test will be conducted between March 15-30, the official informed PTI.

Schools of Specialized Excellence have been introduced by the Delhi government as choice-based schools for Classes 9 to 12 that allow students to specialize in their chosen fields of study. There are five domains in which SoSEs have been established, i.e. science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), humanities, high-end 21st-century skills, performing and visual arts, and armed forces preparatory school.
Eligibility Criteria for Delhi SoSEs Admission 2022?
- Applicant must be a student of government, government-aided and recognised schools of Delhi to be eligible to apply for admission to SoSE.
- Applicant must be a resident of Delhi with valid residence proof.
SoSE will admit a minimum of 50% of the students from Government or Government Aided schools. In order to be selected, students would be required to qualify for the aptitude test. After qualifying the test, students will have to produce a pass certificate of their respective previous class (Class 8 for admission in Class 9 and Class 10 for admission in Class 11 during session 2021-22). Students will be selected through an aptitude test that covers mental ability, mathematics and science.“For Class 11 admission, topics covered may be of Class 10 level. For Class 9 admission, topics covered may be of Class 8 level,” it said.
