Using the NID DAT 2025 application correction window, candidates can make corrections to particulars in the NIFT application form 2025. Check what can and cannot be edited, and step-wise process.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will close the NID DAT 2025 application form on December 3, 2025. Registered candidates can edit the NID DAT 2025 application form from December 4 ( 4 pm) - December 9, 2025 (4 pm). The correction window will allow candidates to edit/ make corrections to particulars entered in the application form.

Details that can be edited in the application form include exam center, address details, and category.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

Details that be edited using NID DAT 2025 correction window

The NID DAT 2025 correction window will open on December 4, 2024 (4 pm). The following particulars can be edited using the correction window.

  • Exam centre
  • Address details
  • Upload new documents. 
  • Applied category
  • Any other details not covered under the “details that can’t be edited” group.

The following particulars however can’t be edited.

  • Applied program
  • Name of the candidate
  • Date of birth
  • Registered mobile number and email ID

How to edit NID 2025 application form

The link to edit the application form will be updated on the NID DAT 2025 admission portal. 

You need to log-in to the portal using your candidate credentials. After logging in, select the fields you want to edit and make the corrections.

Submit the form after making the correction.

Note that if you have changed the applied category, you need to pay any additional fee that may be applicable. However, no fee will be refunded for a change in category.

Q:   What is the application fee for NID DAT?

A:

The application fee of NID DAT 2025 for the B. Des for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates is INR 3,000. SC, ST, PwD candidates only ned to pay INR 1,500. However note that the application fees for overseas candidates seeking admission to supernumerary seats is INR 5000. In case of the M.Des programme, the application fees for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates applying for one discipline is INR 3,000. If two disciplines are chosen, the application fee is INR 6000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidate need to pay INR 1,500 for one discipline, and INR 3000 for two disciplines.

Q:   When will the application forms for NID 2025 be released?

A:

NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges. 

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

Q:   What details and documents are required to fill the NID application form?

A:

While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.

The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.

Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.
