NID DAT 2022 Mains to be conducted in hybrid mode; check details

Candidates who have qualified in DAT prelims and have been shortlisted are eligible to appear in the DAT Mains. 

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the NID DAT 2022 Mains exam in the 3rd week of June 2022. In another update, the exam will now be conducted in a hybrid mode. The Studio Test for the B.Des program will be conducted in offline mode at various cities across the country. Meanwhile, for the M.Des program, the Studio Test will be conducted in offline mode at NIFT campuses, while the interview will be conducted online.

Candidates who qualify in the NID DAT 2022 Prelims exam and get shortlisted will be eligible to appear in the DAT Mains exam. The result of NID DAT 2022 Prelims will be declared in the last week of April 2022.

DAT Mains to be conducted in hybrid mode

In a notification released on its official website, the National Institute of Design stated, ““Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation prevailing in the country and the uncertainties arising thereof, the NID DAT 2022 mains exam for the admission cycle 2022-23 will be held in HYBRID mode,”.

1. B.Des program - The Studio Test for the B.Des program will be conducted in offline mode in various cities across the country.
2. M.Des program - The Studio Test will be conducted offline at respective NID campuses. The Interview will be conducted online.

Shortlisting of candidates for NID DAT 2022 (Mains)

Candidates will be shortlisted for DAT Mains based on their performance in the DAT prelims. Note that only such candidates who qualify in DAT Prelims will get shortlisted.

The qualifying status of DAT Mains will be mentioned on the NID DAT 2022 result, which will be declared in the last week of April 2022.

The number of shortlisted candidates will be three times the number of category-wise seats available in the B.Des and M.Des courses.
