The application form closed at 11 am today. Candidates who have registered for the exam can edit the application form from December 6 (2 am) to December 11.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has closed the NID DAT 2025 application form. The extended last date to apply for the exam was December 6 (11 am). The application form is for admission to the B.Des and M.Des courses offered by NID DAT 2025 participating colleges. The window to edit the NID DAT application form 2025 will open at 2 pm today.

The NID DAT 2025 application form was open from September 3 to December 6, 2025.

Meanwhile, the DAT Prelims exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

What next?

The National Institute of Design will allow candidates who have registered for the exam an opportunity to edit submitted application forms.

Using the NID DAT 2025 application correction window, the candidate can make corrections to some of the particulars in the NID 2025 application form.

Note that corrections have to be made before the last date.

Release of Admit Cards

The National Institute of Design will release admit cards for the exam on December 24, 2024. 

Download the NID DAT 2025 admit card using your email ID and date of birth.

On the day of the exam, you need to bring the admit card and a valid photo ID proof. 

Q:   What is the application fee for NID DAT?

The application fee of NID DAT 2025 for the B. Des for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates is INR 3,000. SC, ST, PwD candidates only ned to pay INR 1,500. However note that the application fees for overseas candidates seeking admission to supernumerary seats is INR 5000. In case of the M.Des programme, the application fees for General, General-EWS, OBC-NCL candidates applying for one discipline is INR 3,000. If two disciplines are chosen, the application fee is INR 6000. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidate need to pay INR 1,500 for one discipline, and INR 3000 for two disciplines.

Q:   When will the application forms for NID 2025 be released?

A:

NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges. 

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

Q:   What details and documents are required to fill the NID application form?

A:

While filling out the NID application form, candidates have to enter their personal, academic, and personal information. They are also required to upload a photograph and signature, and caste Certificate if applicable. In case of candidates seeking admission under reserved categories, they also need to upload a category Certificate. PwD category candidates will also have to upload the relevant Certificate.

The category and PwD certificates should be in PDF format and max 2 MB.

Meanwhile, the photograph and signature should in JPG/JPEG format and within 75-100 KB.
