The candidate will be able to pick their choice of colleges at the time of NIFT 2022 registration. Seat allotment will be based on NIFT 2022 merit rank and selected options. 

 

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is currently conducting the counselling process for NIFT 2022. Candidates who have qualified in the NIFT 2022 written entrance exam and the Situation Test/ GDPI are shortlisted for participating in the counselling process. NIFT 2022 counseling registration is open from May 25-June 4

There are currently 17 NIFTs that are participating in the joint seat allocation process conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology. These institutes offer a combined intake of 5,023 seats (undergraduate + postgraduate).

Of these, 4,188 are All-India seats and 377 are state-domicile seats.

The program-wise breakup seats for various categories is given in the table below.

NIFT 2022 Seat Allotment

The seat allocation process for the NIFTs will be conducted in online mode. Also, separate allotments will be made for the PwD and non-PwD categories.

  • PwD category seat allotment - The single round of allotment will be announced on June 8.
  • Non-PwD seat allotment - There will be five rounds. Allotments will be made on June 13, June 20, June 27, July 4, and July 11.

The allotment of seats will be based on the choices (academic program + college options) opted by the candidate during registration and NIFT 2022 merit rank
