NIFT 2022 seat allotment for PwD and non-PwD categories to be out today

The allotment for the PwD category was scheduled to be released on June 8, but got postponed as the document verification process was pending.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will declare the seat allotments for the non-PwD category (Round I) and PwD category at around 6 pm today (June 13). The allotment of seats will be made considering the NIFT 2022 merit rank and options selected by the candidate at the time of choice filling. 

Candidates who have registered for the counseling process will only be considered for the seat allotment. 

Seat allotment for PwD candidates got delayed

The National Institute of Fashion Technology was originally scheduled to release the seat allotment for the PwD category on June 8. However, due to delays in the document verification process and server issues, the allotment got delayed.

This year, around 27,000 candidates registered for the NIFT counseling process.

Counseling conducted separately for PwD and non-PwD categories

NIFT 2022 counseling is conducted in online mode for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate design courses offered by the 17 participating NIFTs.

The seat allotment is conducted separately for the PwD and non-PwD categories. 

There will be only one seat allotment round for the PwD category, whereas there will be five seat-allotment rounds for the non-PwD category.
