The written exams for NIFT 2023 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode in the 1st week of February 2023. Applications can be submitted both with regular and late fees.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released a tentative schedule for the NIFT 2023 exam. The online application form for NIFT 2023 will open in the 1st week of October 2022. Meanwhile, NIFT 2023 written exams, which comprise the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), will be conducted in the 1st week of February.
Candidates have the option to register for the NIFT 2023 exam with both regular and late fees. With regular fees, registrations will be allowed till the last week of December 2022, but with a late fee of INR 5,000, the registration process can be done till the 1st week of January.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology is expected to release the specific dates for the NIFT 2023 exam events once the online application process starts.

NIFT 2023 admission process
The NIFT 2023 exam will be conducted for admission to the B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, M.Des, and M.F.M courses.
The GAT written exam is compulsory for all programs. However, only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT test.
The scores of NIFT 2023 written exam will be used to shortlist candiates for the next round. B.Des candidates need to take a Situation Test, while those seeking admission to master’s programs need to appear in a Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI).
The final result for NIFT 2023 will be prepared by giving weightage to the written tests and Situation Test/ GDPI.
