For the academic session 2022, the opening CMR of Dom. OBC category for the Fashion communication was 6023; the closing CMR was 6414. OBC category was 528. Note that CMR stands for common merit rank.

4. Enter your roll number, program of study, question booklet series, and date of birth
5. On successful login, you can download the answer key.

There are many benefits of the answer key:

1. Using the answer key, you can calculate probable scores and thus access your chances of admission even before results are declared.
2. Second, it brings transparency to the admission process.
3. Third, if you are not satisfied with a key, there is a provision to challenge that key.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release Rank Lists for the following categories:

All candidates who have been allocated a new exam center will have to download fresh admit cards, which will contain details of the updated exam center and address.

Additionally, the exam notification released in the NIFT admission portal will also contain the details of the exam center dropped and their replacements.

In normal circumstances, no changes are made to the exam center allocated to the candidate.

However, in some unavoidable circumstances, NIFT officials may allocate a new exam center. In that case, an alternate exam center will be allocated to the candidate.

So, the candidate is urged to keep updated on NIFT exam.

If two or more candidates score the same marks in NIFT 2024, then the tie will be determined in the following manner.

1. The marks scored by the candidate in tests with higher weightage will be considered to break the tie. For instance, for the B.Des program, marks obtained in the CAT exam will be compared to break the tie.
2. If the marks obtained in the CAT are equal, then marks obtained in GAT will be considered. 
3. If the tie is still undecided at this stage, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, 
   Analytical Ability &General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

The written exam results for NIFT will include the following information:

The Situation Test for the B.Des program will be conducted sometime in March 2024.

Admission to the NIDs is conducted through the NID DAT entrance exam, while admission to the NIFTs is based on NIFT entrance exam scores.

The admit cards for NIFT 2024 will be released within a few days of the closure of the online application form.

An important document for appearing in the design entrance exam, the admit card will carry information like the date and time of the exam, roll number, reporting time, and exam-day guidelines.

Admission to the B.Des and M.Des programs at NID participating colleges will be through the NID DAT 2024 entrance exam.

NIFT is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for admitting candidates to B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Twech, and M.F.M courses offered by 18 participating NIFTs.

By the time you complete the syllabus, you must be in a position to solve the entire sample paper.

One can’t put a specific number on how many sample papers one must solve for the NIFT exam. This is because each student has their own pace of learning and understanding things.

However, if you want to improve your time-management and problem-solving skills, make sample papers an integral part of your exam preparation tool. If can solve 10 sample papers well it may be good enough. If you can solve more, it will be even better.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the syllabus for NIFT 2024 at the time of the release of the information brochure. So, any details about a change in the NIFT 2024 syllabus, if any, will be known once it is out.

As per NIFT 2024 eligibility criteria, Maths is not a mandatory subject in Class 12 to appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam. 

That being said, the NIFT GAT section may include questions that may be Mathematically inclined. So, it is a good idea to have a basic understanding of mathematical concepts and equations.

The NIFT CAT test will follow the following exam pattern.

• Mode of the exam: The CAT will be a pencil-and-paper-based exam that will be held offline,
• Duration: 3 hours
• Skills evaluated: Intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in the development of a concept as well as design ability of the candidate. It will also test the creative as well as innovative use of color and illustration skills of aspirants.

B.Des candidates who qualify the written exams - GAT and CAT - have to appear in a Situation Test.

The Situation Test will evaluate the “material handling and the innovative ability” of the candidate. Note that PG candidates aren't required to take the Situation Test; they have to instead appear in a Personal Interview. 

The Situation Test will examine areas like “Space Visualization, Innovative and creative use of given material, the composition of elements, color scheme, construction skill, the finesse of the model and overall presentation, etc.

The NIFT written exams include the CAT and GAT papers.

There is a negative marking for GAT. 

For every wrong attempt, 25% of the allocated marks will be deducted. So, before attempting the GAT paper, make sure you are doubly sure.

In contrast, there is no negative marking for the CAT test.
