The application form for NID DAT 2025 exam is open from September 3-December 3, 2024. Eligible candidates may apply before the last date.

NID DAT 2025 exam is for admission to the B.Des and M.Des courses.

B.F.Tech candidates only need to take the GAT.

They don’t need to take either the GAT or the Personal Interview/ Situation Test.

The merit list of the B.F.Tech program will be prepared based on GAT scores only.

The Situation Test is only meant for B.Des courses.

M.Des candidates, if shortlisted, have to appear in a Personal Interview. Also, the final merit list for M.Des will be prepared based on CAT, GAT, and PI scores.

NIFT officials will verify the eligibility of the candidate before confirming their admission. 

If you fail to meet the eligibility conditions, you may be disqualified. So, carefully go through the eligibility conditions before you apply.

M.Des candidates need to follow the pattern given below.

The NIFT situation test will evaluate parameters like Colour scheme, Space visualization, Construction skill, Finesse of the model, Composition of elements, Overall presentation, Innovative and creative use of given material, etc. 

The Situation Test will be evaluated on the spot.

The NIFT situation test is only meant for the B.Des program. So, if you are applying for any other course, including B.F.Tech program, you needn’t take the Situation Test.

Also, only B.Des candidates will be shortlisted for the Situation Test only if they qualify in the written exam.

Admit cards, results and seat allocation schedule for NIFT 2025 will be available on the NIFT website / Admissions portal. 

So, keep visiting the NTA website/admission portal regularly for updates. 

No intimation will be sent by post.

NTA will declare the NIFT results online at its admission portal. It will not mail the scorecards to the candidate through mail.

So, you need to log in to the admission portal to check your results.

The M.Des. program is open to candidates with a UG degree in any discipline from any Institute /University recognized by law in India.

If you meet these requirements, you may apply.

To apply for NIFT 2025, you will need the following items and details:

• Personal details, including address for communication, date of birth, category, etc.

The allotment of seats to various courses will be based on the following parameters:

If OBC (NCL), EWS, domicile (Open), and domicile (OBC NCL) seats remain vacant, such seats will be converted to the open category after a minimum of two rounds of seat allocation.

To make corrections in the NIFT 2025 application form, the candidate needs to follow these steps:

1. Go to the NTA admission portal
2. If the application correction window is open, the “Correction link” will be activated
3. Click on link
4. Log in using your application number, email ID, and DOB
5. After logging in, make the corrections
6. Once you are done, submit the form.

No further changes can be made after you submit the form.

No, there is no age limit for the M.Des program. So, candidates who meet the NIFT 2025 academic requirements can apply for admission.

To apply for the B.Des program at the NIFTs, the candidate must be less than 24 years of age as of August 1 in the admission year. 

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD categories are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit.

UG applicants can apply to all B Des and B.F.Tech Programs. 

Candidates applying for B.F.Tech Programme (with Physics and Maths), will also be eligible to enroll for B.Des courses. 

PG candidates, however, can apply for only one program.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) was granted statutory status under the Act of Parliament of India in 2006. This empowers the Institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions.

NIFT is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

NTA will release the NIFT application form 2025 online.

The candidate will have to fill out the NIFT application form through the NTA admission portal. Applications submitted offline will not be accepted.

So, don’t download the form, fill it out, and send it to exam officials.

No, the NTA will not conduct the NIFT Situation Test and Personal Interviews. Instead, these tests will be conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Shortlisting for the Situation Test/ Interview will be based on written exam scores.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will verify the documents uploaded by the candidate.

If any anomaly is found, the candidate may be disqualified. 

So, make sure that you only upload genuine and verifiable documents.

The city intimation slip is not equivalent to the admit card. So, if you bring the NIFT 2025 city intimation slip and not the admit card, you will not be allowed entry inside the NIFT 2025 exam center.

The city intimation slip is not the same as the admit card. It merely is a slip that informs that candidate about the exam city allotment.

Also, the city intimation slip is released before the admit card.

NIFT will also have state domicile seats for some of the NIFTs.

In the previous edition, there were 424 state-domicile seats. Candidates who meet the domicile requirement of the specific state only can apply for these seats.

Typically, there is a window to apply for the NIFT 2025 exam with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the regular window closes.

The candidate is allowed to select only one exam city from the existing list.

In the previous edition, the NIFT exam was conducted in 60 cities. Each of these cities may have one or more exam centers.

The name and address of the exam center allocated you will be mentioned in the admit card. 

The NIFT 2025 admit card will also have information related to exam center reporting time, exam-day guidelines, etc.

Once the NIFT 2025 application form closes, the candidate can only edit the application form during the correction window.

However, once the correction window closes, no requests for a change will be entertained.

The candidate can’t select exam centres for NIFT 2025. Instead, they can only select an exam city.

The allotment of NIFT 2025 exam centers will be based on factors like the number of exam centers available in the city, seat intake, and address details entered by the candidate.

The candidate can select only one exam city when filling out the application form. Each of these exam cities may have one or more exam centers.

The name and address of the allotted exam center will be mentioned on the admit card.

The candidate can select their admission category when filling out the application form.

The candidate doesn't need to have studied Maths in Class 12 to appear in NIFT 2025. 

That being said, the NIFT GAT question paper may include Math-based questions. So, some knowledge about the subject will be helpful.

NTA will release the city intimation slip before the release of the NIFT admit card 2025. It will include the name, address, and other information about the exam city allocated to the candidate.

If there is any anomaly in the exam city allocated to the candidate, they may contact exam officials.

The NIFT application window will open sometime in January 2025. 

The candidate can edit their choice of exam city using the correction window. However, once the correction window closes, no further chances will be given to make changes to the exam city.

There are a total of 4,392 seats that are available under the All-India category. However, these seats are further divided into courses and reservation categories.

To be considered for admission to the M.Des course, the candidate must meet the following conditions. 

Candidates applying for the B.Des program through NIFT 2025 need to meet the following conditions.

IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2024. The exam is conducted for admission to B.Des courses offered by participating colleges.  

The exam will be conducted in a hybrid mode. Part A will be online-based, whereas Part B will held offline.

Note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A. 

The admission process for UCEED 2025 is currently ongoing.

The UCEED application form 2025 is now open with late fees from November 1-18, 2024. Eligible candidates may apply before the last date.

The NIFT exam syllabus is quite vast. So, you ideally need around 6 months to prepare for the exam.

However, if your fundamentals are strong, you can prepare in much less time.

But you will have to be disciplined, use your time smartly, and make all the right moves to succeed.

The B.Des program has the following specializations:

The candidate can select their choice of specialization at the time of counseling.

The full form of NLEA stands is NIFT Lateral Entry Admission. Under the NLEA scheme, candidates can apply for direct admission to the third semester of UG programs.

Eligible candidates need to fill out the NLEA 2025 application form before the last date.

To be eligible for the NLEA admission scheme, the candidate must have completed a Diploma in a related field of Design and technology.

It is recommended that candidates go through the various other details outlined in the information brochure.

NTA hasn’t announced any dates or a specific time for the release of the NIFT application form 2025.

No, B.F.Tech candidates aren’t required to take the CAT. They only need to appear in the GAT exam. 

Also, the merit list of NIFT 2025 will be prepared considering GAT scores only.

The NIFT exam includes a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).

B, Des candidates must take both CAT and GAT exams. CAT will be conducted offline; GAT will be a computer-based exam.

The candidate is allowed to edit the exam city as many times as they want until submission of the application form.

Once the application form has been submitted, it can only be edited during the correction window. 

Note that once the correction window closes, there is no scope to edit the exam city any further.
