Registration for Spot Round is open for candidates who have not been allotted a seat in the first six rounds of seat allotment. Allotment for Spot Round to be declared in the last week of July.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has started the online registration process for the spot round of NIFT 2022 counseling on July 21. Eligible candidates will have to register for the spot round latest by July 24. The institute has also released the program-wise vacant seats for the participating institutes that will be filled during the Spot Round.

The counseling process for NIFT 2022 is being conducted in an online mode for admission to the UG and PG design courses offered by the 17 participating NIFTs. 

For the current academic session, a total of six online allotment rounds have been conducted, not including the Spot Round. The 6th round of allotment was announced on July 18.

How to register for NIFT Counseling 2022 - Spot Round

  • Log in to the portal using candidate log-in details
  • Fill in your choice of participating institute and academic program. Entries should be in the order of priority.
  • Submit the form

It is recommended to fill in as many choices as possible to optimize one’s chances of admission.

Also, candidates are urged to consult the registration eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology before they proceed to fill out the counseling form.

NIFT 2022 Seat Allotment, Acceptance, and Withdrawal

The allotment of seats will be announced in the last week of July by considering the NIFT 2022 merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for admission.

Those allotted seats will have to deposit the fee and confirm their seats.

Note that the Spot Round is the final round of seat allotment; so candidates will not be allowed the option to withdraw their seats. In case the candidates do withdraw after the Spot Round, then the fees deposited will not be refunded.
