The institute released a revised seat allotment schedule yesterday. Round 3 allotment was slated to be declared on June 30, but till now allotment has not been made.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) continues to keep candidates on tenterhooks as it has again failed to follow the seat allotment schedule it has released. After failing to follow the original NIFT 2022 counseling schedule, the institute came out with a revised NIFT 2022 seat allotment schedule yesterday.
As per the revised schedule, seat allotment for Round 3 was slated to be declared by 7 pm on June 30. But now we have entered July, and yet allotment has not been declared.
With the delay in the seat allotment, other events will also now get delayed, including fee payment and subsequent rounds of seat allotment.
Note that as per the revised schedule, post seat allotment on June 30, candidates who were allotted seats had to pay the seat-acceptance fee between June 30-July 3. Now this schedule will definitely get affected.
NIFT 2022 counseling marred by delays from the start
The institute was originally slated to announce seat allotment for PwD category on June 8, and 1st round of allotment for non-PwD category on June 13. However, both the allotment got delayed. For multiple days, there were confusion with the NIFT admission helpdesk of little to no help.
The institute also didn't update the website or release its website before finally declaring the results on June 14.
Then again, seat allotment for Round 2 got delayed, with results being announced on June 21 (instead of the schedule June 20).
