NIFT online counselling process 2021 for Bachelors of Fashion Technology courses has begun. Ranks 1 to 945 have been called for seat allotment process, which will be completed in 6 rounds over a period of 2 days.

NIFT counselling 2021 for BFTech starts

The National Institute of Fashion Technology has started the online counselling process for BFTech course. The NIFT counselling 2021 for BFTech course will be held over a period of 2 days, i.e., July 15 and 16, 2021. The online counselling is being held in 3 shifts on both these dates, i.e., from 9 am, then from 11 am, and lastly from 2 pm.

Before taking part in the online counselling process, candidates have to download their call letters from registration portal, nift.applyadmission.net. To login in the portal candidates have to use any 2 of these details: roll number, date of birth, application number.

Ranks called for NIFT counselling 2021 for BFTech

Candidates are called rank wise for counselling. The selection of the candidates for counselling is done from the common rank list and is based on the NIFT cutoff 2021 as decided by the institute.

On July 15, candidates who have ranked 1 to 103, are selected for counselling in slot 1 that is from 9 am. Candidates in rank range 104 to 235 have to appear in the second slot that is from 11 am onwards. Lastly on this day, in the last slot which is from 2 pm onwards, candidates in rank range 236 to 389 will be called for counselling.

Similarly, on July 16, candidates in rank range 391 to 541 will have to appear in counselling from 9 am onwards. Then, candidates who have ranked between 543 to 722 have to attend the counselling from 11 am onwards. The candidates ranked from 723 to 945 will have to attend the counselling from 2 pm onwards.

After NIFT counselling and seat allotment

After the counselling of NIFT 2021 is done and seats are allotted, candidates can download their allotment confirmation letter. Thereafter they can also download the Bill of Supply from the registration portal itself.

NIFT counselling 2021 is being held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation across the nation.

Seats in NIFT will be allotted as per the reservation norms. 15% seats are reserved for the SC candidates, 7.5% for the ST category candidates, 27% for the OBC (Non-Creamy) layer candidates, 10% for the Gen-EWS candidates, and 5% for the PWD candidates.

The semester fee for non-NRI candidates is Rs 1,67,250. For the NRI candidates the annual fees is Rs 9,25,200 at the NIFT Bengaluru, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Kolkata, New Delhi, Raebareli, and Srinagar campuses. In the NIFT Patna, Kangra, Bhopal, Kanaur, Shillong, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar and Panchkula campus the annual fees for the NRI candidates is Rs 6,55,000. NIFT final result for BFTech admissions was announced by National Institute of Fashion Technology on May 27. The written entrance exams was held on February 14, 2021.
