NIFT Placements 2022 - Phase II of the placement process to commence on June 1

The placement process of the NIFTs is conducted in two phases. The second phase of the placement process is on-campus placement. Check schedule, package, dates, participating companies, and more. 

The second phase of the NIFT 2022 placement process will be conducted from June 1-9, 2022. The placement process will be conducted at various NIFT campuses in either online or offline mode. Candidates who haven’t accepted a placement offer in the pre-placement offers (PPO) are eligible to participate in the on-campus placement process.

Phase I of the NIFT placement process is called pre-placement offers, wherein candidates can accept job offers from companies before the commencement of the campus placement process. The PPO placement process for the current academic session was held from April 25-May 7.

NIFT Placement 2022 - Key Pointers

• NIFT campus placement is conducted in two phases: 1) Pre-placement offers (PPO) and 2) campus placement
• PPO - In the pre-placement offer, students are selected for jobs based on internships, trainings, and projects undertaken by the student with the concerned company.
• Note that students who are selected during the PPO can’t participate in the camus placement.
• Campus placement - The placement process may be conducted in either online or offline mode. The candidate in this process will have to undergo series of selection process conducted by companies participating in the placement process.

NIFT Placement Salary

The salary package offered to the student will depend on a host of factors, including:

1. The company making the job offer
2. The performance of the student in the placement process
3. The ranking of participating NIFT. Note that typically students from higher-ranked NIFTs are offered a higher package than say someone from a lower-ranked one.

NIFT Delhi and NIFT Kolkota are among the popular destinations for recruiters. For example, the average salary for a student passing out of NIFT Kolkota gets an average salary package of 5.7 lakhs, while someone from NIFT Delhi might get around 5.5 lakhs or more.
