The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has notified that the final result of NIFT 2023 will be declared along with the final results of all UG and PG courses.

The semester-wise fee structure for the B.Des and B.F.Tech program at the participating institutes of NIFT 2023 is given below.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the following types of Rank Lists. Note that these rank list will be used for seat allotment to respective categories.

The DAT Mains Studio Test for NID DAT 2023 will be conducted from March 20 to April April 20, 2023. Meanwhile, the Personal Interviews for the NIFT 2023 exam is scheduled to commence on March 20, 2023.

So, there is a clear overlap between the two exams creating a difficult situation for candidates who have applied for both exams.

Slots for the Situation Test (B.Des program) will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The slot-booking process is being conducted online.

The NIFT 2023 Situation Test will carry a weightage of 20%. So, the Situation Test is a very important component of the admission process that candidates need to pay close attention to.

The Situation Test will evaluate the candidate on various parameters like concept development, innovativeness, material handling, articulateness, understanding of texture and weight, etc.

On way to prepare for the Situation Test is to practice the previous years' question papers of NIFT.

The admit card for the Situation Test/ Personal Interview will be released online on March March 17, 2023. 

To download the admit card, the candidate needs to go to the admission portal and log in following the steps given below:

1. Click on the admit card download link
2. A log-in window will open
3. Enter your email id and password
4. On log-in, the admit card will be available for download
5. Download and take a printout of the admit card.

The Situation Test for the B.Des will be conducted in an offline mode at various NIFT campuses.

The allotment of campuses will be on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it is recommended that the candidate books their campuses as soon as possible, or they will be left with campuses that may be geographically located at a greater distance.

B.Des candidates who have been shortlisted for the next round need to book campuses for the Situation Test, which will be conducted from March 24-27 in offline mode at various campuses. The last date to book slots is March 16 (up to 5 pm). 

Meanwhile, those shortlisted for admission to the master's program need to book their slots for the online Personal Interview latest by March 16 (up to 5 pm). The interview will be conducted from March 20 onward).

The NIFT 2023 written exams were conducted in the following cities.

The 18 participating institutes of NIFT 2023 have a combined intake of 5,199 seats. These include 4,324 All-India Seats, 405 State Domicile, and 470 NRI seats.

Admission to All India and State Domicile seats will be based on NIFT 2023 scores.

The written exams of NIFT comprise the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT).

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducted the written exams (both CAT and GAT) on February 5, 2023.

Currently, there are 18 participating institutes of NIFT. These institutes will accept NIFT 2023 scores for admission to their B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses.

The National Institute of Fashion Technologies offers the following programs master’s level. 

• Master of Design (M.Des.)
• Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M)
• Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)

The final result of NIFT 2023 will be prepared by giving weightage to the various exam components as per the following criteria:

Admit cards for the Situation Test will be conducted on March 17, 2023. Admit cards will be issued only if the candidate selects the campus for the Situation Test.

To download the admit card, the candidate needs to log in using their candidate credentials.

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Des, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M candidates will have to appear in the Personal Interview, which will be conducted online from March 20, 2023 (onward).

Candidates who have been shortlisted for the Personal Interview need to book their slots; the last date to book slots is March 16, 2023 (5 pm).

The NIFT 2023 result notification says results have been announced on March 13, 2023. But with only a few minutes left for the day to be over, NIFT 2023 result is still not in sight.

Not a single candidate has so far said or shared that he or she has managed to log-in and check NIFT 2023 results.

It is almost midnight now, and chances are also less of NIFT officials responding or clarifying the matter regarding the exam results.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Situation Test based on their performance in the General Ability Test (GAT) and the Creative Ability Test (CAT).

The status of the candidate, i.e. whether shortlisted for the Situation Test or not, will be mentioned on the NIFT 2023 scorecard.

The Situation Test for the B.Des program will be conducted offline at various NIFT campuses. The candidate can select their choice of exam campus by logging into the candidate portal.

The last date to select a campus is March 16, 2023 (5 pm).

If this trend continues into the night, students are going to have a nightmarish time, especially after what they have faced since the results were declared on March 10. 

The NIFT 2023 result-cum-scorecard will carry the following information:

• The name, roll number, signature, and photograph of the candidate
• GAT marks 
• CAT marks (only for B.Des and M.Des candidates)
• Qualified Status (whether shortlisted or not)

Note that candidates who get shortlisted will be eligible to appear in the Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

“You guys believe that they are gonna give us results tonight”

“I think they are gonna give the results on the day of the situation test itself”

“I will probably die from too much caffeine before nift gives my result”

When NIFT 2023 results were first announced on March 10, it was a complete mess as nobody seemed to know what was happening.

And now, it seems to be a deja vu moment again as students are struggling to check their results. NIFT notification says, result out.

The Situation Test for the B.Des program will be conducted from March 24-27, 2027. Candidates have been shortlisted for the Situation Test based on their scores in the GAT and CAT written tests.

Note that the NIFT 2023 exam result will include exam status, i.e, shortlisted or not.
