NIFT Seat Allotment 2022 -Category-wise schedule out; mock seat allotment canceled

The National Institute of Fashion Technology has previously released a tentative schedule for NIFT 2022 counseling and seat allotment. Registrations opened on May 25.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released a detailed schedule for the NIFT 2022 counselling and seat allotment. The online seat allotment process will be conducted first for the PwD category from June 8-11, followed by seat allotment for the candidates other than PwD category.

The seat allotment process for PwD category will have only one round, while for the candidates other than PwD category, there will be five seat-allotment rounds.

The NIFT 2022 registration process is common for all categories and is being held from May 25 to June 4, 2022

NIFT 2022 Mock seat allotment canceled

In its earlier NIFT 2022 counselling notification, the National Institute of Fashion Technology had mentioned at point no. 27 that a mock seat allotment would be conducted on the 7th day of the NIFT counselling registration.

However, in its latest notification, the institute has informed that no NIFT 2022 mock seat allotment would be conducted.

NIFT 2022 Seat Allotment Criteria

The allotment of seats to the undergraduate and postgraduate design courses will be based on the performance of the candidate in the written tests (GAT and CAT) and Situation Test/ GDPI.
