UCEED 2018 Exam Dates & Application Form

UCEED is a national level design entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay. On the basis of an aspirant’s performance in Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) he/she can secure admission in undergraduate level design programmes offered at colleges accepting UCEED scores for admission

UCEED exam is of three hours duration and comprises of a total of 80 questions. UCEED exam pattern is such that the test paper is divided into three sections which consists of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Application process for UCEED 2018 is set to commence on October 9, 2017 and UCEED exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 20, 2018.

UCEED 2018 Application Process

Candidates can only fill UCEED application form online on the official website of the exam. In order to register for the exam, aspirants need to first of all visit UCEED’s official website and create their login credentials.

Step 1: Register for UCEED Exam

First of all candidates need to create their registration ID for Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design. The registration ID is created once candidates provide details such as their name, mobile number, date of birth and email ID. As soon as aspirants provide these details they will receive an email from IIT Bombay on their registered email ID which will contain the candidate’s application number and password. The same details will also be sent on the candidate’s registered mobile number.

Step 2: Fill Personal Details

Once candidates successfully create their registration ID, they need to again visit the official website of the exam. Thereafter, aspirants need to enter their application number and password in the space provided. A form will open in which the fields related to the information provided by them at the time of creating the Registration ID are already filled. After this, candidate need to fill all the below mentioned details in their UCEED application form:

Parent’ name

Correspondence address

Birth category

Gender

Nationality

Alternate email ID

Alternate mobile number

 

Further, aspirants need to mention preference of three cities wherein they would be willing to appear for the entrance examination.

Step 3: Provide Information regarding Educational Qualification

Next, candidates need to provide their education related details such as:

Year of passing/appearing in Class 12 or equivalent examination

Name of Board

Name of School/College

State

City/Town

Address of School/ College

 

Step 4: Upload Important Documents

Candidates need to upload digital/scanned copies of the below mentioned important documents along with their UCEED 2018 application form:

Recent colour photograph 

Only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg will be accepted.

The photograph should show full frontal (face) view, with the head centered in the frame covering 70%-80% of the photograph and taken within the last six months.

Scanned copy of candidate’s full signature  on white paper

Only JPEG image formats with file extension .jpg will be accepted.

Qualifying examination certificate (XII marksheet)

Only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted.

Note: Candidates who will be appearing in 2018 for the board exam, a certificate from the school/college principal (in the given format mentioned by UCEED officials) should be uploaded in PDF format.

Proof of Date of Birth.

(This could be copy of birth certificate or copy of passport or copy of Aadhaar Card or copy of X class marksheet/school leaving certificate showing DOB).

Only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted.

Gazette notification showing the change of name.

(If the name is not same as in the Class XII certificate)

Only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted.

Category certificate issued by competent authority

Only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted.

Disability certificate issued by a district medical board / competent authority

Only PDF formats with file extension .pdf will be accepted.

 

Step 5: Pay UCEED Application Fee

Lastly, aspirants need to pay UCEED application fee. Candidates are informed that the application fee for UCEED exam does not include processing fees, service and other charges that the banks may levy.
