IIT Guwahati Partners with Miraclus Orthotech to Revolutionise Orthopedic Technology
IIT Guwahati has partnered with Miraclus Orthotech to drive advancements in orthopedic technology and innovation.
The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Miraclus Orthotech, a leading orthopedic implant manufacturer, to collaborate on pioneering research, development, and testing of advanced orthopedic implants and instruments. The MoU was signed by Prof. Rohit Sinha, Dean of R&D at IIT Guwahati, and Pranav Thaker, Managing Director of Miraclus Orthotech Pvt. Ltd.
This partnership represents a major step forward in biomedical engineering, merging IIT Guwahati’s cutting-edge research capabilities with Miraclus Orthotech’s industry expertise. The collaboration aims to tackle key challenges in the medical device sector, focusing on delivering innovative, high-quality solutions to enhance patient care.
The partnership will concentrate on four primary areas:
- Research and Development: Collaborative efforts to design next-generation orthopedic implants and instruments.
- Product Testing and Validation: Utilizing IIT Guwahati’s advanced facilities to ensure products meet international quality standards.
- Skill Development: Organizing workshops, training programs, and knowledge-sharing sessions to offer students and researchers hands-on experience in medical device technology.
- Intellectual Property Creation: Jointly developing patents and publishing research findings to propel advancements in the field.
