Candidates who are allotted fresh seats in the final round need to pay the seat acceptance fee between July 23-25 to confirm their seats.
IIT Bombay has declared seat allotment results for Supplementary Round 2 (Final Round) on July 23, 2022. The allotment has been made considering the UCEED 2022 merit rank of the candidate and the choices opted at the time of counseling registration. Candidates who are allotted fresh seats need to accept the seat and pay the seat acceptance fee from July 23-25.
The institute has also released the opening and closing ranks for Supplementary Round 2. Candidates who meet the closing ranks are only considered for admission.
The counseling process for UCEED 2022 is conducted in online mode as a Joint Admission Process for admission to the B.Des program offered by participating colleges. There are a total of five seat allotment rounds, including the two supplementary rounds. For the current academic year, the B.Des program has an intake of 199 seats.
Candidates were selected for the counseling based on their scores in the UCEED 2022 entrance exam scores.
UCEED Seat Allotment 2022 - Payment of fees
Candidates who are allotted seats for the first time in the final round need to pay the seat acceptance fee to confirm their admission. The fee is:
- Rs. 60,000 for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL,
- Rs. 15,000 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.
The mode of payment of the fee is online. In the case of candidates who are offered an “upgrade” seat needn’t pay the seat acceptance fee. Instead, they need to contact the respective institute for payment of the balance fee and registration process.
Withdrawal of seats, apply for an upgrade
The 2nd Supplementary round is the last and final round of seat allotment. This means, there will be no further rounds of seat allotment.
Consequently, candidates will not have the option to withdraw their seats or apply for an upgrade.
