DU OBE Exams 2021: DU warns students against using unfair means during online OBE; releases guidelines
DU in its guidelines has directed students not to use unfair means and to ensure that they have all the documentary proof in case there is a delay in uploading the answer sheets.
DU OBE 2021: Delhi University has issued guidelines for students who will be appearing in the online open-book exam (OBE). Delhi University will be conducting the online open book exam for undergraduate and postgraduate courses soon. DU in its guidelines has directed students not to use unfair means and to ensure that they have all the documentary proof in case there is a delay in uploading the answer sheets.
In June, the Delhi University had conducted the OBE in which over 350 students were found using unfair means and as a result, their paper or entire semester was cancelled.
As per the guidelines, students are asked to submit their scripts on the OBE portal only. "All the students are advised not to use any unfair means while writing the exam. They must be very careful in writing exams, a system is in place to detect copying/use of unfair means in the examination," the guidelines stated.
"If submission (of scripts) on the portal gets delayed beyond one hour, students can use an additional one hour to upload the scripts on the OBE portal (that is the 5th hour), but in that case, students have to keep the documentary evidence (4-5 snapshots of the delay in uploading)," they said.
As per the guidelines, students will be given three hours to write answers plus one hour to download the question paper. Students will also get one house for uploading scripts and delayed submission. The guidelines further stated that the results of answer scripts that are submitted through email might get delayed due to the verification process, as it had earlier happened during the OBE in December, March and June.
"Partially submitted answers by email would not be accepted. Submission by both email and on the portal will not be accepted," they said. DU will be conducting third, fifth and seventh semester examinations for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses from today; i.e. November 30, 2021.
