Education minister to launch #100DaysReading Campaign on January 1

The reading campaign will be divided into three groups: Group 1 for students studying in Balvatika to Class 2; Group 2: Class 3 to Class 5 and Group 3: Class 6 to Class 8.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will be launching the 100 Days Reading campaign starting this New Year, i.e. January 1, 2021. According to a tweet shared by the official Twitter account of Prasar Bharati, #100DaysReading Campaign will be launched by the education minister on Jan 1. Students from Balvatika to Class 8 are eligible to participate in the campaign. The reading campaign will be divided into three groups: Group 1 for students studying in Balvatika to Class 2; Group 2: Class 3 to Class 5 and Group 3: Class 6 to Class 8.

The tweet posted by Prasar Bharati reads,“@EduMinOfIndia to launch #100DaysReading campaign on January 1, 2022, for the students from Balvatika to grade VIII.”

The reading campaign has been launched to improve students’ ability to understand, reflect and locate various types of information. It also improves the creative thinking ability of students. Students from all across the country are invited to join the campaign and become a part of #100DaysReadingCampaign.

A tweet posted by the Ministry of Education reads, “#100DaysReadingCampaign starting on 1st January 2022, aims to have the participation of all stakeholders including children, teachers, parents, community, educational administrators, etc. #PadheBharat”
