10721 engineering students get college of their choice in Maharashtra
The second list of engineering admissions will be declared tomorrow (December 17) at cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be required to report to the allotted institute from December 18 to 22.
As per a record published in Hindustan Times, the first Common Admission Process (CAP) round ended on December 15 in which 24,904 students were admitted out the total 77,877 available seats as per the data given by Maharashtra state Common Entrance Test (CET) cell.
As many as 43,635 students went into second round to get admission in the college of their choice. The second list of engineering admissions will be declared on December 17 at cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be required to report to the allotted institute from December 18 to 22 for the confirmation of admission.
During this academic year, 1,08,718 students registered for the online admission process for engineering in Maharashtra as compared to last year’s 96,337 students.
The total number of available seats in engineering colleges across the state for this academic year is 1,30,543 and in the first CAP round 1,00,072 students have given their preferences for colleges. Of these, 10,721 students were given the college of their first choice, while a total of 77,877 students were admitted in the first round.
