151 SC Gurukul students qualify for JEE Advanced 2023

Based on the cutoff marks required to get seats in NITs, 93 students out of the 151 students who have qualified for the JEE Advanced from the Gurukuls are expected to get seats. 

Several students of the AP SC Gurukuls have performed well in the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exam, said Social Welfare Minister Merugu Nagarjuna. 

As many as 93 students have got a chance to get admissions in National Institutes of Technoogy (NITs) and 151 students have qualified for JEE Advanced 2023, which is scheduled to be held on June 4, 2023, Deccan Chronicle reported. 

The students of SC Gurukuls have achieved excellent results in the first round of JEE examinations, compared to the performance of students of the corporate educational institutions,” the minister said. JEE and NEET training centres are functional at Chinnatekur (Kurnool district), Adavi Takkellapadu (Guntur district) and Edupugallu (Krishna district) under the aegis of the SC Gurukula Vidyalayas organisation. 

As for the JEE Advanced exams, several SC students have secured up to 99.05 percentile marks in various subjects in the JEE Main 2023 Session 1. Nagarjuna said overall, in all subjects, Varada Pawan Kumar of Chinnatekur training centre scored 96.61, Mallepogu Avan Kumar scored 95.49 and Ravana Kiran Kumar scored 95.39 percentile, while G Manojna of Edpugallu scored 95.60 and Ajay Bhargav of Adavi Takkellapadu scored 93.63 percentiles and stood as the toppers in the Gurukuls.
