AICTE invites applications for setting up new technical institutions
Those interested can apply online through the national single window system (NSWS) -- nsws.gov.in. The last date to apply is April 6 and with a late fee, it is April 13.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited applications from education partners for setting up new technical institutions, extension of approval for existing technical institutions and obtaining extension of approval for running programmes. Those interested can apply online through the national single window system (NSWS) -- nsws.gov.in. The last date to apply is April 6 and with a late fee, it is April 13.
The notice issued by the technical education regulator read, “All existing technical institutes/institutions deemed to be universities/central/state/private universities already approved by the AICTE shall submit online application under Chapter II/III/IV/V/VI as per provisions laid down in approval process handbook 2023-24. It is mandatory for the central/state and private universities to take approval of AICTE for technical programmes. However, such institutions have to maintain AICTE norms for conducting technical programmes. They may take approval of AICTE to avail various benefits of AICTE schemes including scholarships for the students.”
The AICTE has also invited applications from those requiring an extension of approval and obtaining no objection certificate (NOC) for running the programmes in management, computer applications, artificial intelligence and data science, logistics and travel and tourism in online distance learning and online mode from the standalone institutions, institutions deemed to be universities and universities.
The AICTE has also invited applications from standalone institutions, institutions deemed to be universities and universities already approved by the technical education regulator intending to introduce or continue courses in open and distance learning programmes and online programmes.
