AICTE Launches Juniper-Powered AI Campus Centres in 500 Indian Institutions

AICTE along with Juniper Networks, has launched the Juniper AI-Driven Campus Centre of Excellence to equip institutions with advanced AI technology and foster innovation.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in collaboration with Juniper Networks, has launched the Juniper AI-Driven Campus Centre of Excellence, a transformative initiative designed to upgrade educational infrastructure in 500 institutions across India. EduSkills will serve as the knowledge partner in establishing these Centres of Excellence, furthering Juniper Networks' vision of driving innovation in education.

Participating institutions are required to set up the necessary infrastructure to host the Juniper Centre of Excellence, with Juniper Networks providing guidance on site preparation and trained personnel to support the process. The initiative aims to integrate AI technology into these institutions, fostering innovation and enriching the student learning experience. By joining the program, institutions will gain access to valuable resources and expertise, elevating their academic and technological capabilities.

Advantages of the CoE:

• Training for a minimum of 20 faculty members at each institution on AI in networking.
• Upskilling of at least 100 students annually on AI technology, preparing them for industry roles.
• Creation of AI-driven smart campus networks for secure and efficient access.
• Opportunities for in-campus physical internships.
• Joint research opportunities in AI between institutions and Juniper's R&D team.

During the launch, AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam stated, “This initiative empowers students with practical, industry-ready knowledge, ensuring they thrive in an evolving technological landscape. To achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat@2047, we need a workforce ready for industry challenges. Initiatives like this, along with AICTE’s Idea Labs and Indovation Centers, are pivotal in preparing our students for the future.”
