AICTE PG scholarship: Application deadline extended

The last date to apply for the AICTE PG scholarship scheme is January 20, 2023. Interested candidates can apply at the AICTE official portal, pgscholarship.aicte-india.org.  

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the deadline for the postgraduate (PG) scholarship scheme. The last date to apply for the AICTE PG scholarship scheme is January 20, 2023. Interested candidates can apply at the AICTE official portal, pgscholarship.aicte-india.org. 

An official notification issued by the technical education regulator read, “The last date for the submission of online applications under AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme has been extended till 20th January 2023." The notice further read, “The students who are eligible and are admitted in the AICTE approved institutions and AICTE approved courses, as per scheme guidelines, may submit their application in the portal.” 

“The students are advised to submit their online applications well in time so that their institutions are able to verify applications within the prescribed timelines. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained,” the added. 

Students studying in the first year of ME, MTech, MPharm, MArch, MDes courses having valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) scorecard will be eligible for scholarships of INR 12,400 per month. Students of only AICTE-approved institutions or courses that are approved by AICTE can apply for the scholarship. Eligible students will receive the scholarship through direct benefit transfer (DBT) mode.  

Eligibility for AICTE PG Scholarship 

• Students  must have a valid GATE, GPAT or CEED qualification score at the time  of admission.   
• They  must be enrolled as full-time scholars.   
• They  must be admitted in AICTE-approved institutions and courses such as  Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture,  Master of Pharmacy and Master of Design.   

The eligible institutions are also advised to verify applications of their students immediately after receiving the applications on the online portal.
