The KEAM 2024 rank list for engineering admissions has been released by CEE. Dr. R Bindu, Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice, announced the results in a press conference. Devanandin from Alappuzha secured the first rank among 79,044 candidates who took the exam over six days from June 5th to 10th. The exam was conducted across various centres in Kerala, as well as in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Dubai.
Out of the total candidates, 38,853 were girls and 40,190 were boys. A total of 58,340 candidates qualified, with 52,500 making it onto the rank list. This year saw an increase of 4,261 qualified candidates and 2,829 more included in the rank list compared to the previous year. Unfortunately, the single transgender candidate who qualified did not make it into the rank list.
In the top 100 ranks, there were 13 girls and 87 boys. Among these, 75 candidates achieved their rank on their first attempt, while 25 did so on subsequent attempts. Ernakulam district led with 24 candidates in the top 100 ranks, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (15) and Kottayam (11). Ernakulam also topped the district-wise statistics with 6,568 candidates in the rank list and 170 in the top 1000 ranks. Other districts like Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Thrissur also featured prominently in the rankings.

Furthermore, the exam saw diverse educational backgrounds among the top candidates, including those from Kerala Syllabus, CBSE, and CISE.
The successful completion of the exam and timely declaration of results were attributed to the efforts of various state government organizations, including C-DIT, the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations, and the Directorate of College Education, as acknowledged by Minister R Bindu.
