CSAB Special Round counselling 2024 to start on July 31; Check eligibility and process here
CSAB Special Round Counselling 2024 will start on July 31, 2024. Candidates who participated in JoSAA 2024 but did not get any seats can register for the CSAB 2024 special round counselling. Candidates who did not participated in JoSAA 2024 are also eligible for the CSAB special round counselling.
The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will organize two special rounds of counselling for seats that have remained vacant after the final round of JoSAA seat allotment. Candidates who participated in JoSAA counselling but did not get admission in any IIT, NIT, IIIT or GFTI can participate in the CSAB special round counselling 2024.
The CSAB special round counselling will also be open for candidates who did not participated in JoSAA 2024.
To participate in the CSAB 2024 special round counselling, candidates will need to register online and fill choices of colleges and branches. Registration for CSAB special round counselling will start on July 31, 2024.
The complete schedule of CSAB special round has been announced and the same can be checked on the website csab.nic.in.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will share the information on vacant seats on July 29, 2024.
The JoSAA round 5 seat allotment was announced on July 17, 2024. The seat allotment results of rounds 1 to 4 were announced earlier as per the schedule.
CSAB Supernumerary and NEUT
The Central Seat Allocation Board will also organize a separate counselling for candidate belonging to Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. NIT Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and SVNIT Surat have supernumerary seats over and above the sanctions seats for Union Territory candidates. The schedule of CSAB Supernumerary 2024 counselling will be announced soon.
A special counselling, called CSAB NEUT is also being organized besides CSAB Supernumerary. The CSAB NEUT is conducted specifically for candidates belonging to 8 North East States which are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura and 5 Union Territories Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Ladakh.
