The Cochin University of Science and Technology has released the schedule of Spot admission for B.Tech programs from August 27 to August 31, 2024. The Cochin University of Science and Technology released a notification on August 24, 2024 regarding the schedule of Spot Admissions in BTech program through CAT-2024 rank list. The Spot admission for vacant seats will start from August 27, 2024 for the ranks from 1 to 4500.Candidates can check the scheduled dates for the spot round for vacant seats in detail below;

CUSAT CAT 2024 Btech Spot Admissions: Important Instructions
- Candidates must know that Individual call letters will not be sent to them candidates, Candidates must carry their CAT - 2024 Rank card to the venue to avoid mistakes.
- Candidates must register at the venue before 10 AM on the date of Spot Admission (as per the schedule). Candidates who report after 10 AM will not be considered for spot admission.
- All candidates in the CUSAT CAT 2024 rank list are eligible to attend the spot admission process.
- CAT-qualified candidates who did not claim the benefits of reservations during online application (by mistake) can now claim the reservation benefits during Spot admission with supporting Category certificates.
- Candidates must check the seat balance in BTech Programs published on the admission website https://admissions.cusat.ac.in/ on a daily basis, before attending the CUSAT CAT 2024 BTech Spot Admission.
- Non-Keralite candidates are not eligible for communal reservation
Documents Required CUSAT CAT 2024 Spot Round Admissions
- Four passport size Photographs of the candidate
- CAT – 2024 Admit Card/Online Application Confirmation Page
- Certificate to prove Keralite Status, for State Merit Seats
- Mark sheet and Certificates of Class 10 and 10+2
- Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended (in English version)
- Migration Certificate (for students from outside Kerala state)
- Character Certificate (if applicable)
- Caste category Certificate (if applicable)
- PWD Certificate (if applicable)
- Sports Certificate (if applicable)
- Two sets of self-attested copies of all the original certificates/documents mentioned above.
Candidates must know that Refund of admission/ seat allotment fees if any will be governed by the refund policy published on the admissions website https://admissions.cusat.ac.in.

Let us understand one-by-one in detail:
CUSAT CAT counselling registration
This is the first stage of the counselling process wherein a candidate has to complete the registration. In order to register for the CUSAT CAT counselling, applicants have to use of the login credentials such as User ID and password.
CUSAT choice filling (Option entry)
After completing the CUSAT CAT counselling registration process, candidates have to fill the colleges according to their preference. Select the colleges in which you are interested to take admission and then lock & submit the choices. If any candidate fails to lock & submit his/her choices then it will be done automatically.
CUSAT CAT seat allotment
The seat allotment will be prepared considering the rank, college preference, seats available etc. CUSAT seat allotment result will release online and a candidate can access it by using the login credentials. Download the seat allotment letter and carry it with to the allotted institute.
Fee payment
After the release of the CUSAT seat allotment result, candidates will have to make fee payment. If a candidate fails to pay, the fee within the prescribed time then his/her seat will get cancelled.
Report to the Allotted College
On completion of the payment process, candidates will be notified about the date and time to report to the allotted college. Carry original as well as two sets of photocopy of the documents.
