First JEE Main 2022 exam is likely to commence from March instead of February due to State Assembly Elections. Read on to know the latest updates on JEE Main 2022 exam and the total number of attempts.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 is likely to commence from March instead of February. Considering the upcoming assembly elections in five Indian states, National Testing Agency (NTA) may put off the first attempt of JEE Main 2022 till March. Earlier, as per the previously announced schedule, it was expected to take place in the month of February. NTA will soon announce the JEE Main 2022 exam dates at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

As per media reports, the government has decided to conduct the most popular engineering entrance test, JEE Main 2022 four times a year from this year onwards, it will be organised by the National Testing Agency. Same as last year, the exam was scheduled to be held in the month of February, March, April, and May but due to upcoming assembly elections in five states, the board may organize the first attempt of the exam in March instead of February month.

β€œThe government has decided to conduct the JEE (Main) exams four times β€” February, March, April and May β€” from this year onwards. However, considering the pending elections, the schedule could be tweaked this year. The first exam is likely to be scheduled in March followed by April, May and June,” a senior official from the Ministry of Education said.
