GATE 2020: IIT Delhi releases subject-wise exam schedule

GATE 2020 exam: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has released the subject-wise exam schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020.
GATE 2020 will be conducted by the IIT Delhi in eight sessions on February 1, 2, 8 and 9. A total of 8,60,112 candidates have registered to appear for the exam which is lesser than that of the last year. In 2019, around 9.27 lakh candidates appeared for the GATE.
In 2020, GATE will be conducted for 25 subjects with Biomedical Engineering as the new subject. GATE 2020 will be a computer-based test for each subject. Candidates must check the schedule of their respective subjects and reach the exam centre with GATE 2020 admit card and a valid photo id (in original) as per the schedule.

GATE 2020 admit card will be made available by the exam conducting authority on January 3 online only. Candidates will be required to log in to GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) portal using their enrollment ID/email address and password to download the admit card.
Earlier, IIT Delhi has made available the correction window for the GATE 2020 application form to correct details such as exam city, candidate name, gender, category, father's name, college name, etc. Students could avail the facility of gate application form correction through the GOAPS portal to change the particulars in their form.
IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) jointly conduct GATE every year for admission to postgraduate courses conducted by technical institutes across the country.
The public Sector Units (PSUs) also use the GATE score for recruitment purposes. It is expected that most PSUs will begin the recruitment application process after the release of the GATE 2020 admit card.
