Ashoka University Establishes Havells School of Management and Leadership, Unique UG Courses to Offer

The Havells School of Management & Leadership will add to the university’s focus on subjects like humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and computer science. Its management and leadership programs will be as per the university's liberal education system.

Ashoka University has announced the inauguration of the Havells School of Management & Leadership, in association with Havells India. The commencement of the institution supports the university's mission to provide excellent education and develop responsible leaders for India and overseas.

The new school of management and leadership will focus on core subjects such as humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and computer science. The management and leadership programs at the institute will be integrated with Ashoka University’s liberal education approach.

INR 250 Crores to Be Invested

Havells India will contribute INR 250 crore to the School of Management & Leadership. The funding will be distributed over time. The Havells School of Management & Leadership will prepare young leaders to face economic and social challenges. The innovative academic programs will enable prospective leaders to positively impact society and contribute to India's development.

Pramath Raj Sinha, Founder and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees at Ashoka University highlighted his delight saying “The establishment of the Havells School of Management & Leadership marks an important milestone in Ashoka University’s journey. We are building a new model of management education that combines the rigour of business thinking with the foundations of liberal arts.”

What's New?

Reportedly, the school will offer unique undergraduate programs in Applied Liberal Arts and Management. Besides, the institute will also offer integrated postgraduate programs in collaboration with leading business schools in India and abroad. Students will gain a broad foundation in the liberal arts, focusing on critical thinking, communication, and leadership, while specializing in management, business, and entrepreneurship.
