IIT Roorkee will close the GATE 2025 Registrations soon. The last date to submit the application form was October 3, 2024, without late fees and October 11, 2024, with the late fee. Eligible candidates can check the application form process and documents checklist below -

GATE 2025 Documents Checklist

IIT Roorkee started the GATE 2025 application form registrations on August 28, 2024, at the GOAPS portal. Candidates who want to apply for the GATE exam must have the required documents during registration. The GATE 2025 exam allows students to get admitted to top institutes in the country, such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, and IISc for M.Tech and PhD courses. 

Documents Checklist for GATE 2025 Registration

The GATE conducting authorities have prescribed a list of documents that must be uploaded when filling out the application form. The documents must be in a specific format. Here are the documents required to complete the GATE application form. 

  • Address of communication (including PIN Code)
  • Eligibility degree details
  • College name and address with PIN Code
  • Choice of GATE test papers
  • Choice of GATE exam cities 
  • A high-quality image of the candidate photograph as per the specifications
  • Good quality image of the candidate’s signature conforming to the requirements
  • A scanned copy of the valid photo identity card (the same ID must be carried to the exam hall)
  • A scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
  • A scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
  • A scanned copy of a dyslexic certificate (if applicable in PDF format)
  • Net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI details for the payment 

GATE 2025 Photograph and Signature Requirements

The GATE 2025 registration form requires the candidate’s photograph and signature to be uploaded to the GOAPS portal. The specifications are as follows -

Photograph requirements

  • The photograph must be of good quality and a recent one. 
  • The dimensions of the passport-size photo must be (3.5 cm width X 4.5 cm height) with the face of the candidate covering 60 to 70% of the photograph. 
  • The photograph's background must be white and contain no objects or persons.
  • The photograph must directly show the frontal face view into the camera, the forehead, eyes, nose, and chin. 
  • The face should not be covered with caps, hats, sunglasses, or coloured glasses. 
  • The scanned photograph must be in JPEG or JPG format with a minimum aspect ratio of 0.66; maximum aspect ratio =0.89
  • The maximum pixel resolution must be 530 x 690 pixels, and the minimum resolution is 200 X 260 pixels.
  • The file size must be between 5kb to 1 MB.

GATE 2025 Signature Specifications

  • The candidate’s signature must be clear in JPEG/JPG format with aspect ratio, height:width =1.0, where, value of A can be between 3.25 to 3.75.
  • The signature must cover 70 to 80% of the image in black or dark blue ink only. 
  • The file size of the candidate’s signature must be between 5 kb to 200 kb.
  • The maximum image size for the signature must be 160 x 560 pixels, and the minimum must be 80 x 280 pixels. 

Candidates applying for the GATE 2025 online form must follow the guidelines and instructions to ensure their application is accepted. The last dates to submit the GATE 2025 application form were October 3, 2024 (without a late fee) and October 11, 2024 (with a late fee of INR 500). The GATE Exam 2025 will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025

Q:   Can I join IISc without JEE Main?

A:

IISC Bangalore accepts JEE Main score for BTech admission 2024. The university has different admission criteria as per course requirement. IISc Bangalore offers a four-year BTech in Mathematics and Computing divided into eight semesters. The course is divided into two parts, i.e., Core Courses and Soft Core Courses.

Q:   When will the GATE 2025 registration start?

IIT Roorkee has REVISED the GATE 2025 application form dates. As per the revised schedule, GATE 2025 registrations had started on 28 August, 2024. The last date for GATE 2025 registration have been extended to October 3, 2024 (without late fees). Earlier, candidates had to submit the application form by 26 September 2024, with regular fees. Candidates will be able to submit the GATE 2025 application form with late fees until October 11, 2024 (extended).

To enroll for the GATE exam, candidates have to pay a requisite fee of INR 900 (for female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) and INR 1800 (for other candidates) during the regular period. A late fee of INR 500 is charged for candidates applying after October 3, 2024.
