IIT Roorkee is all set to conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, in two shifts Morning (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and Afternoon (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm). The exam will be held for 30 subjects on different dates and shifts. Here are some important GATE 2025 exam dates, guidelines, last-minute preparation tips, and more.

GATE 2025 Admit Card: Steps to Download

IIT Roorkee released the GATE 2025 admit card on January 7, 2025, at the GOAPS portal. Candidates who have registered for the exam can download the hall ticket. The steps to download the hall ticket are as follows -

  • Visit the official website of GATE - gate2025.iitr.ac.in 
  • Login using the credentials - GATE enrollment ID and password
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen 
  • Check all the details and download the admit card. 

Last Minute Key Tips for GATE Aspirants

  1. Analyse Previous Papers: Reviewing past GATE papers helps identify recurring topics and gauge the difficulty level.
  2. Time Management: Allocate more time to high-weightage topics like Mathematics and core subject areas.
  3. Mock Tests: Practice with timed mock tests to build confidence and improve accuracy.
  4. Focus on General Aptitude: This section is often overlooked but contributes 15% of the total marks, making it a scoring opportunity.

Important Instructions for Candidates Appearing GATE 2025 Exam

  1. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the GATE admit card with an original valid ID proof, such as an Aadhar card, PAN card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, etc. 
  2. Candidates must report to the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the commencement of the exam. 
  3. Items, such as calculators, pagers, mobile phones, watches or any kind of electronic devices are not allowed inside the exam hall. 
  4. Candidates can log in and start reading the instructions 20 minutes before the start of the exam.
  5. Virtual calculators will be available on the candidate's computer.
  6. A scribble pad will be provided for doing rough work and calculations. 
  7. Pen, pencil and a transparent water bottle are allowed to carry.
  8. Pwd applicants who have been granted compensatory time are allowed to leave the exam centre after 12:30 pm in the forenoon session and after 5:30 pm (in afternoon session)
